- Stone

My use of the word "stone" applies to any material I use that is formed into beads from natural gem stones or crystals. They are not particularly expensive materials but they represent an organic element that helps make my creations affordable. Sometimes I mix stones with glass beads to enhance the beauty of their melding. Several of my selected stones are sometimes dyed, like howlite, which makes it look like natural turquoise. I am careful to give the correct names to the stones I use.
