Handbraided Kumihimo necklace with French beaded pendant - This necklace of purple and green showcases a Kumihimo braid composed of silk bundles braided into seven different braiding patterns provided from a workshop I took with Caryoln Oliver Haushalter, the designer.  Ruby zoisite, glass beads and wire of a French beaded pendant were woven together with my modifications of a leaf design from a pattern by French beading instructor Lauren Harpster. A hand woven wire bale  suspend this uncommon pendant from the braid. Total length 17"
