My most recent client wanted a "simple look" for a wire wrapped moonstone necklace where, as much as possible, the moonstone would be as visible as possible. I took on this project with some excitement as I knew that it would test me. I have a propensity for "not simple" designs and I love lots of color!  I am pleased, as is she, with the outcome.
 
This necklace wire wrap of vintage bronze and gold wires encases a large moonstone that evolved - pretty much unplanned - into a reversible pendant. Suspended from a chocolate brown leather cord and closed with an adjustable slider, either face of the pendant gives a beautiful display of the moonstone's natural colorations.  We both love it! And I learned the skill of keeping it (for at least once) "simple".
