So just a small vintage clay marble with a freshwater pearl garnish can bring to life that sense of organic wonder in me, the same feeling I get when I hike in northern Arizona canyons. I love mixing natural elements that create a peaceful natural look. Do they stand out in the fashion world? Maybe not. But my belief is that if I wear something that looks calm it helps me feel calm. This vintage clay marble has been wrapped in vintage bronze with a touch of bronze wire for contrast. The marble is so visible that I felt it needed something to distract just a bit from the openness of it all. A freshwater pearl with a gorgeous bright bronze color draws the organic greys of the marble and the sheen of the woven wires into a balanced, subtle necklace pendant. I wanted to bring a little "jazz" to hanging it and wove small jeweltone glass beads into a strand that does not distract from the pendant but does give it a subtle elegance.
